The employee termination of Government lead by PDP in wake of their participation in protests is a murder of Democracy.In a latest move, more than 18 employees have been terminated by the state government on allegations of instigating protests and leading to disturbance in law and order.
Employee Unions have registered a strong protest against the move, and made it clear that they will soon hit streets if the State Government does not roll back it’s decision.
In already turbulent Kashmir, analysts are seeing sacking of employees as another step that would be seen not only as undemocratic but unfriendly.
Many are opining that such excessive force and democratic repression would have disastrous consequences on the overall situation.
The need of the hour is to cool down tempers and review the decision in an effective manner.
