Selling’ Covid Orphans: Ones Involved in It Have No Right to Live in Society, Says Grand Mufti Nasir ul Islam

No changes seen on ground after Article 370’s abrogation

Srinagar 04 December (KNB): Grand Mufti Nasir ul Islam on Saturday said that the ones behind the selling of Kashmir’s covid orphans have no right to live in society, and the incident is a deplorable one which should be condemned on largescale.  

Talking to News gathering Agency Kashmir News Bureau, Mufti Nasir ul Islam while giving an overarching view of present conditions in Kashmir in which social evils have sprung up, inferred unemployment and fragile atmosphere in J&K, a cause behind it.

Regarding the alleged sale of Kashmiri children rendered orphaned after losing their parents to Covid19, he said that such an incident is a deplorable act, and the ones involved in it have no right to live in society. He said that the fallout of such a condemnable thing is very dangerous and far-reaching.

On the ‘anticipated changes’ promised to be seen in J&K after the abrogation of article 370, Mufti Nasir ul Islam categorically said that no changes have been witnessed on the ground except the change of uptick in domicile certificates and legislating of new laws, which are quite the opposite.

He also said that if GoI truly wants to win people’s hearts, then it should embrace the procedure which would help it to come closer to people. Mufti Nasir ul Islam also emphasised the importance of dialogue and said that violence is not a resolution to any matter. (KNB)
