Many voices say that the National Conference-Congress led Government has not impressively performed on governance issues especially the manner in which LPG crisis has been handled and the rampant load shedding in the state. Your take on this ?
The LPG crisis is not just a state specific issue, but an issue which has had ramifications at all India Level. We need to bear in mind that elites should not be given subsidy. The subsidies are meant for poor masses.
As far as the power crisis is considered, the consumption of power is much beyond the overall availability of power and the irony of the situation is that if the government takes hard step over it gets criticized and gets same criticism if it is soft over the issue. We need to hand power sector to private sector. If people have no issue while paying for their mobiles on recharge basis the same pattern should be followed for power. The coalition government is trying level best to make the lives of masses easier.

How do you view the continuance of threats to panchs and Sarpanches?
Actually, the Panchayat system has been ushered in the state after a long time and many of them due to lack of exposure do not still have the requisite maturity and there are many mutual rivalries working on ground zero. With the due passage of time I am hopeful that evolution and maturity would come and these threats would vanish.

Many on ground state that the Congress worker on ground is not satisfied with Omer Abdullah led coalition government?

My opinion is that we won’t be having only an angry Congress worker but also an annoyed NATIONAL CONFERENCE Worker .Whenever a worker whatsoever be his part affiliations does not get the desired results or his wishes fulfilled he or she becomes angry. This has been part and parcel of every political system.
In this regard, I would like to frankly state that I hear from many voices that Congress-PDP Coalition was better than current National Conference –Congress and nobody can be sure about the political picture of the state after 2014 election results any combination can emerge.

How do you view the chances of Congress in the upcoming municipal elections and its growth as a political force in the state?
Congress is growing with every passing moment in the state of Jammu & Kashmir .Now people have the required political awareness and we are hopeful of a glorious performance in not only upcoming municipal elections but in all the future electoral battles in the state.

Analysts state that a series of corruption scandals unearthed during current Central Government led by Congress Party are going to prove costly for electoral fortunes of part in next General Elections slated in 2014?
The congress led government has revolutionized the entire country by introducing historic legislations like Right to Information Act through which these corruption scandals have been unearthed. We have actually fully empowered common masses through which all negativities are coming openly out.
