ARMY ORGANISES FREE MEDICAL CUM VET CAMP AT KARIMABAD

Karimabad 21 Jun 2015:  55 RR Bn on Sunday Organised a free medical cum vet camp at Karimabad, Distt Pulwama from 0930h to 1700h under OP Sadbhavana-XVIII. The main motive of this camp is to reach out the people of the remote places, cater to their medical problems and spread health awareness including importance of hygiene and sanitation.

Camp was organised keeping in the view of the demands of the local population comprising mostly of karimabad,Pulwama,zudur and nearby remote areas where the health care is mostly neglected due to non availability of adequate Medical facilities. It is through this post, the local people residing in the nearby pasture lands expressed their need for better health care especially for children, elder and their cattle keeping this in mind, Army organized this Medical and vet camp.

For this camp Army arranged –military doctors, 01x surgical Spl, 01x Gynecologist Spl, 06x MO, who provided medical support and the locals. Total of approximately 1500 persons were treated.

Various employment opportunities for youth of the area were also explained to the people by putting up stalls.

The camp was a great success which benefited poor and needy villagers from the region. Local expressed the gratitude towards Army for the gesture which resulted in strengthening the bond between JAWAN and AWAM.
