Tral Encounter: Burhan’s Close Aide Ishaq ‘Newton’ Along With Two Hizb Ultras Killed

Srinagar: Early Thursday morning, thousands of people gathered to bid adieu to  one of the youngest Kashmiri militant, Ishaq Ahmad Parray who was killed along with two other Hizbul Mujahideen ultras in an overnight encounter with government forces in Dadsara village of Tral.



Amid pro-freedom slogans, Ishaq’s body was laid to the rest at martyrs graveyard in his native Laribal village.Issac was the close aide of Burhan Wani-the face of present militancy in Kashmir. Police sources said that Issac was recruited by Burhan.

According to Greater Kashmir reporter in Tral, Ishaq, was a bright student at his school. He had scored 98.4 per cent in Class 10th and 85 per cent in 12th. One of his friends was quoted saying they will always remember him as Newton. “He was the best among all of us. We will miss our ‘Newton’,” he said.




Issac had joined militancy in March. “He was just 19. And preparing for the Common Entrance Test (CET) to be a doctor when he left home,” he said.
