Srinagar: Kashmir valley’s leading milk producing company, Khyber group which supplies a huge quantity of milk to the valley has been found unsafe for consuming. The local in Budgam penalised Khyber for playing with the lives of people only to mint more money.

The court was also critical against the Food Analyst Kashmir Hamedullah Dar terming him a “deadwood and cancer for the nation”, who according to the court didn’t do justice with his job. It was found that the toned Khyber Milk is contaminated with detergent, urea and other dangerous chemicals.

But the news about Khyber group was almost buried by the local press. Almost all the leading newspapers whose lofty slogans claiming to be the bold voices of Kashmir silently buried the news.

Had there been no social media available, the news about Khyber supplying poison instead of milk to the people would have hardly reached to the people. Kashmiris should thank social media and not the editors of these local newspapers who preferred money over the lives of people. These editors know if they give a wide coverage to this news about Khyber, they will lose a huge chunk of money…they can’t drive their Sedan and other SUV cars.

Most of the reporters working in various leading newspapers revealed that they pitched the story about Khyber before their editors, but these businessmen turned editors asked them to do something else.
