Rural Development Department Employees Vow Innocence of Director Gazanfar Ali

Indefnite strike from tomorrow

The different employee organization and association today held an emergency press conference with reference to raid by Vigilance organization on Director Rural Department Ghaznafar Ali ,the press meet was held at Rural Development Department headquarters Lalmandi, Srinagar to protest what they termed inhuman raid by vigilance on his house.




Mohammad Akbar, from BDO Association stated -”

“Neither any proper procedure was followed by Vigilance Department while raiding house of Gazanfar Ali nor any prior info given. We demand clarification why such honorable personality with great career of 33 years like Mr Gazanfar was affronted by Vigilance Department and his charcter maligned in an undue manner. The baseless Media trial is also cause of concern.”

Farooq Latif, President VLW Association stated – ” We express complete soldarity with Gazanfar Ali Director Ali and want to state to higher ups that Rural Development is pivotal department and always busy in serving people. We are against this harassment of honest personality of Gazanfar Ali.We announce complete soldarity with Director Department and announce strike from tomorrow to show soldarity with the honest official. We want to state that this issue is related to hoarding and state that all due norms have been followed via especially getting SICOP, NCEEF quotes and then going ahead.”

He added – ”
We only protest the manner of vigilance raid at house and see it an act of inhumanity by Vigilance Department especially harrasing the family members and he especially having handicap child.”

The rural development Department employees condemn the inhuman manner and call on indefenite strike from tomorrow to protest the act.

BDO Headquarter Stated -“We have reaffirmed that all due norms and procedures and due time period was followed while installing of these hoardings, cost were accurate and clearly their is no loss to exchequer as some media reports are claiming as many costs have not been estimated. We have followed due process and are open to every investigation. The only question is following due process and the vigilance Department should say what they have got from raid .”
