Journalism is considered as the noble profession, a profession that maintains highest professional ethics and acts as a viable bridge between masses and their governance system.
But, since long now in the conflict ridden Kashmir more and more Journalists are getting addicted to the corridors of power which is wounding the sanctity of this great profession.
From many young journalists to elder figures of media field are associating themselves with the corridors of power. Everytime a new government comes many journalists openly associate themselves with ruling party to wield and exert their influence .
Many more Journalists are serving in Government publicity departments at day time and become editors and journalists at evening time.
Amidst all this the real foot soldiers of media field struggle to keep their life moving and their institutions alive.
One hopes our new breed of Journalists come above this lust of power and serve the pen and people in realistic manner.
