A Kashmiri boy brought laurels to the valley by bagging the gold medal in outstanding poster presentation in a cancer conference- CRAB E CON at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra.
The awardee, G.R. Bhat is a doctorate scholar at the School of Biotechnology SMVDU. 
Bhat hails from Tral area of south Kashmir.
The theme of the conference was breast cancer and was organised by Radiations Of Hope, North Zone. Minister of health Lal Singh was the chief guest on the occasion.
