Jammu 26 December (KNB): A policeman from Kupwara was killed in an accident at Jammu-Srinagar highway in Ramban district.
Officials said that a vehicle (Grand i10) bearing number JK01AH6950, rolled down into a ravine at Ratanbas area near Banihal.
Officials added that the body of Mohammad Altaf Mir of Wavoora Lolab Kupwara district was recovered from the spot.
Officials later confirmed that the deceased was a police Head Constable working in IRP’s 14 battalion and was travelling to Jammu to join duty. (KNB)
