Bandipora 26 February (KNB): In North Kashmir’s Bandipora district, two associates of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) were claimed by police to have been arrested on Friday after recovering arms and ammunition from their keeping.
Police officials said that the two associates were captured in the Bandipora’s Hajin area by a joint team of police and the army on the basis of specific information.
Within the possession of two LeT associates — who have been revealed as the residents of the Bandipora’s Hajin area — police claimed to have recovered two grenades and other ammunition.
However, police have registered an FIR in the case, and both the associates of LeT have been claimed by police of facilitating and harbouring the militants in the area. (KNB)
