Pakistan on Sunday rejected India’s assertion that it had a hand in the terror attack on an army camp at Uri in Jammu and Kashmir that killed 17 soldiers, saying New Delhi usually blames Islamabad for such incidents.
Soon after Indian home minister Rajnath Singh pointed a finger at Pakistan for its “continued and direct support” to militant groups, Pakistan’s Foreign Office spokesman Nafees Zakaria dismissed the accusation.
Pertinently, 17 soldiers and 4 militants were killed in Jammu and Kashmir’s Uri town on Sunday morning.
