JK Start Up Policy: No Need Of Particular Degree, Just A Seed Of Innovation Says Shailandra Kumar

Srinagar, October 31 (KNB): Government of Jammu and Kashmir launched state’s ‘Start-Up Policy 2018’ , which will be in action for next 10 years. This start-up policy has been rolled out with an aim for encouraging or nourishing young talents of the valley and helping them to build a future.




In an Exclusive Interview with Kashmir News Bureau, “the Principal Secretary of Industries and Commerce Department Shailandra Kumar gave a brief introduction about the new policies. He said that policy aims towards upliftment of young brains with entrepreneurial ideas and provide them with an opportunity for entrepreneurship and innovation by creating a conducive start-up ecosystem in the state.

When asked about, how this policy will reach to every student of the valley who deserves? He said, “there is no such hard copy registration for this policy, anyone with any innovative ideas can register themselves on Start up.Jk website.” He further added, “We don’t need any special degree for this start up policy, we just need a seed of innovation in the brains which will be further nourished and pushed forward to achieve something good.

We further talked to him about transparency in the process of selecting people for this policy, on which he said, “The process of recognising the eligible person will be properly and purely transparent without any favoritism. Only the one with exceptional ideas will be approved. We will definitely provide a helping hand towards innovational Ideas”.

However, He concluded saying that, “We are hopeful to help our young and talented brains of JK and nurture them.” (KNB)
