India, Pakistan War Has Started, Not On Battleground, But In Cyberspace

Even though the traditional wars and frequent trading of shells and gun fires were not enough to escalate more tension between two arch rivals, India and Pakistan, a new war on the digital front has started.

Yes, India and Pakistan are at a war not on the battlefield but in cyberspace. This time Pakistan launched the offensive. Pakistani hacker identifying himself as Faisal Afzal aka ‘Faisal 1337′ hacked the official website of Kerala government on sep 26, 2015. The reason of hacking is not known.

Soon after the hacking, the text on the homepage at that moment was reportedly, “Official website of the RC Office, Govt of Kerala- New Delhi Hacked! Pakistan Zindabad.” Also mentioned below was, “We Are Team Pak Cyber Attacker. Security is just an illusion.”

The hackers posted the hacking message on Facebook so as to gain popularity and the message got viral on social media.

India was in full bloom and was ready for the counter attack. Within a few hours of the hacking attack, an Indian hacking group hacked more than 250 Pakistani websites, which included official website of Pakistan’s President, official website of Pakistani Govt., official website of Pakistani Railways.

Operating by the name, “The Mallu Cyber Soldiers” the group claimed responsibility of the retaliation and announced their act as tin for tat to the Pakistani hack of the Kerala Government’s website.

They too posted a message on their Facebook page, “!!Message to Script Kiddies of Pakistan ….Do not touch Indian Websites !!! Now your 46 Pakistan government websites got crashed and 4 educational websites got defaced. This is a small payback for hacking kerala.gov.in. Faisal 1337 go home kiddo, you are F*ucked.”
