Srinagar 20 March (KNB): There has been no ceasefire violation on the LoC following the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan and no infiltration across the border so far, said J&K Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh on Saturday.

DGP said while talking to reporters on the sidelines of under-19 T20 Zonal Level Cricket Tournament at SK Cricket Stadium Sonwar that he would love to see zero infiltration on the LoC in the ongoing year. He also said that last year was best and would like to see 2021 more better than the past one.

While responding to several questions, he said that the drugs and weapons are being sent from the neighbouring countries through drones.

He responded to the active militant stats query by replying that the joining of militancy is happening because of the radicalization of those who are not happy to see the peace’s prevailing.

While promising about the congenial situation in Kashmir, Singh said that they have an ecosystem to deal with issues. To make young ones not go for guns, Singh said that they are looking for society and activists’ support in this regard.

However, Singh also commented on the surrenders being made by the youth during the encounter in Kashmir and promised the fructifying of their lives ahead. (KNB)
