Shopian, May 31(KNB): Two bodies have been recovered from the encounter site that broke out between militants and the security forces at Dragad-Sugan village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Friday.
The encounter broke out today morning after the army’s 44 RR, SOG and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Dragad-Sugan village.
As per locals, one militant and a civilian were killed in an encounter however official confirmation is yet to be ascertained.
The firing has stopped while searches are on.
Meanwhile, clashes erupted between government forces and youth near the encounter site.
Moreover, authorities have suspended internet services in shopian district.(KNB)
