The Government of India recently decided that 500, 1000 Rupee Notes are no longer legal tender and gave people time up til 31 December to change these notes. But, with no proper execution plan in mind the people are facing severe problems in form of cash crunch. National , International media has reported how people have money to buy medicines, basic food stock and people are also dying in long ques.
Pertinently, The state Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti had few days before demonetization stated that the people of state will soon hear good news. Masses believe if this was good news then it was cruel joke. “People are facing hardships everywhere due to cash crunch created by this ill timed and poorly executed Demontesiation step .It is a step which has made life of common man miserable.”
Undoubtedly , the move of demonetization at this juncture with no ground work has backfired.
