Grenades lobbed at telecom offices in Srinagar; no casualties

Srinagar:  In two separate attacks, grenades were hurled at the offices of two telecom service providers located at a stone’s throw from one another in Karan Nagar locality of Srinagar on Friday morning, officals said.

However, there was no report of any casualties.

An eyewitness said that the employees were asked out by the attackers before they threw grenades inside the office of Vodafone communications.

Nobody has so far claimed the responsibility of the attacks.

Several people were killed in similar attacks on cell towers in north Kashmir’s Sopore area in past couple of months.
