Long pending demand of Bandipora hospital resolved, Blood Bank finally inaugurated in Hospital

Bandipora: A blood bank having a capacity of 400 units of blood was inaugurated at District Hospital Bandipora yesterday.The hospital, which was badly affected since from long due to political interferance and frequent transfer of officers.

It was a long pending demand of over 09 years of District Hospital Bandipora which was resolved by the authorities by inaugrating the Blood bank in hospital, prior to this almost every section of the society in general and the down trodden and destitudes were facing acute problem with regard to the availiability of Blood in the hospital.This hammers people in many ways that most of surgeries were refused by the doctors because of non availiability of blood in the hospital. The ailing people were referred to the summer capital of state for the further treatment in which people were affected in all sectors. Now with the inaugration of blood bank in the hospital people at ease can get different surgeries to be done well in time without moving from one end to another. The non avaliability of blood bank in the hospital was indirectly appreciated by the doctors as they were having no other option then to refer the surgery patients to other hospitals.

Medical Superintendent Bandipora Masrat Iqbal had played tremendous role in bringing the blood bank to the district hospital, be left no stone unturned in making this dream to come true. People hailing from different walks of the society appreciated the overwhelming effort of Medical Superintendent.

He always take adequate steps to improve infrastructural facilities and exhorted upon the doctors to work with dedication and zeal to provide better medicare to the patients.

With this the doctors posted at district hospital need to be mire vigilant with regard to their duties.

MLA Bandipora Usman Majid while inaugrating this blood bank said that is the life line of any health institution, and it is mandatory to equip this with ultra-modern gadgets and facilities to make this important health component more reliable. He congratulated the Hospital authorities for putting in place such an important facility and expressed happiness that the added infrastructure will prove quite useful for catering the best medicare and saving precious lives in this important health institution of Bandipora. He stressed the need for best upkeep and usage of this facility by the trained and senior medicos.

Highlighting the importance of blood donation MLA Usman Majid added “Humanity can be served best by donating blood voluntarily to the needy.”  “I salute the enthusiasm and spirit of the youth who turned up in large numbers to donate blood,” he said. Usman Majid also donated blood at the camp.
