14 fresh Covid19 cases in Kashmir Valley, takes tally to 313

Srinagar 16 April (KNB): With the detection of 14 new positive cases for Covid-19 in Kashmir Valley, taking the total number of affected in the J&K to 314 on Thursday.

“According to Kashmir News Bureau, J&K Spokesperson Rohit Kansal said, 14 more positive cases are reported in Kashmir Valley, taking the toll to 313 on Thursday.

“14 new cases- all from Kashmir Division. Total cases now 314. Jammu Division-54 and Kashmir Division-260. Further details in daily bulletin,” tweeted Rohit Kansal.

Out of 114 samples, 11 tested positive for covid19 in SKIMS, while 10 from Bandipora, 01 from Ganderbal district,” Skims official told KNB.

Meanwhile, Kashmir Valley has reported 260 cases while Jammu division has reported 54 cases since the first case was reported on March 9. The four persons have died due to COVID in Kashmir, one in Jammu and three in Kashmir.

The total number of positive cases in Jammu and Kashmir has now risen to 313. While four patients have died in Jammu and Kashmir, 36 recovered.

Pertainently, Div Com Kashmir Pandurang K Pole said that Kashmir division will continue to be under strict lockdown after April 20 and would not be able to ease restrictions on public movement. (KNB)
