Srinagar, Dec 21 (KNB): Evading police barricades and check posts for which he had to walk on foot for miles JKLF Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik on Thursday managed to reach Batmoran Shopian where a lady civilian was killed a day before. Yasin met with the deceased’s husband, mother and her todller daughter Azra. Emotional scenes were witnessed during on the occasion.
“Killing innocents under the garb of encounters and putting properties to flames and even not sparing dumb cattle is uncovering the brutal face of Indian democracy in Kashmir. Cries of little Azra, daughter of martyred lady Ruby Jaan is piercing our hearts and soul.” Yasin Malik said while consoling the bereaved family.
As the news of Malik’s visit spread in the village, people in large numbers rushed to the bereaved family and greeted JKLF chairman and others with enthusiastic slogans in favor of freedom movement and unity.
Yasin was told that this innocent lady was inside her house when forces fired at her and killed her in cold blood, adding, the house where she fell to the bullets of Indians is quite far from the encounter sight. He was only shown the bullet marks and lethal holes on the window of her house. (KNB)
