Traders Federation Calls Strike on Sunday

Decided to boycott Awami Darbaar: President

Bandipora, 01 December 2017: Traders Federation Bandipora has given a call for strike on Sunday to protest against the district administration and decided to boycott Awami Darbar of Chief Minister which is scheduled to be held on upcoming sunday at Mini Secretrait complex of North kashmirs Bandipora district.

In a notice issued today, Traders Federation accused District administration and Municipal Committee Bandipora of ignoring the Bandipora town especially the Market and accused them of turning blind eye towards the miseries of the town dwellers and the businessman of the Main Market.

They said, the District administration has miserably failed to meet the demands of local populace while as the officials of Municipal Committee Bandipora have failed on every front regarding the beautification of Bandipora town and providing Public Utilities to the town dwellers despite the fact that Municipal Committee Bandipora Collects huge revenue through various stake holders of Traders fraternity. They said district administration Bandipora despite assurances turned out to be the protector of the wrong doings of the Municipal Authorities.

The Federation has asked all the shopkeepers to shut down their business on Sunday as a mark of protest against the inefficiency of District Administration especially Municipal Committee Bandipora and in view of their failure to meet out the needs of the local populace.

President of All traders association Bandipora, Shamshaad Ahmad said “they have put some demands  before the administration but our demands have not been met so far and in this regard an emergency meeting was called today and we decide to boycott upcoming awami darbaar in Bandipora”.
