Pakistan’s role in highlighting K-issue commendable: Hurriyat Conference JK

Srinagar, Feb 5: A high level meeting of Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir was held here at party headquarters Srinagar under the chairmanship of Shabir Ahmad Shah. Among other present during the meeting were Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Mushtaq-ul-Islam, Muhammad Yusuf Naqash, Shabir Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Iqbal Mir and Wajhat Qureshi.

During the meeting, the atrocities inflicted upon the people of Kashmir by Indian Government and Pakistan’s diplomatic, political and moral support to Kashmiris’ freedom movement was discussed. The resistance leaders present on the occasion expressed their gratitude to Pakistani Government for highlighting the oppression and brutalities inflicted upon Kashmiris by the hands of Indian government, at various embassies and through various ambassadors across the world.

On the occasion, Shabir Ahmad Shah while expressing thanks to Pakistani government and its people said the Pakistan’s role in highlighting the Kashmir issue and the miseries suffered by its people by the hands of Indian forces since 1947 is commendable. “It is through Pakistan’s support at all levels to bring to light the sacrifices rendered by Kashmiri people in their struggle for freedom from Indian forcible occupation,” Shah said, adding that we hope Pakistan will continue to provide every possible support to Kashmiri freedom movement till it is taken to its logical conclusion.

During the meeting, Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir also thanked the honourable members of Pakistani parliament over passing the resolution of “expressing solidarity and granting the right to self-determination of Kashmiris from Indian forcible occupation”. “It is a welcome step,” the amalgam said.

Shah also addressed various cities of Pakistan telephonically in connection with February 5.

Hurriyat Conference while severely condemning the innocent killing of Zahid Farooq and letting free the culprits said the sacred blood of these martyrs will show their results and resistance will achieve its goal very soon.
