Kashmir unrest: One Killed In Shopian Clashes

A 25-year-old man was killed after after suffering a head injury during clashes in Tukroo village of Shopian in south Kashmir on Saturday.

The man, identified as Sayar Ahmad Sheikh, son of Shameem Ahmad Sheikh, was declared dead on arrival at PHC Rajpora, said a doctor.





Meanwhile, police official confirmed the killing, saying the man was hit by a teargas shell.

Earlier, scores of people were injured in clashes that broke out after government forces allegedly tried to foil a pro-freedom rally in Tukroo village.
