Hizb grieved over death of Maqbool illahi’s mother




Her family scripted history in ongoing freedom movement: Salahuddin

Srinagar, Dec 19 : UJC chief Syed Salahuddin Monday while expressing his deep sorrow over the demise of the mother of founder member of Hizb Maqbool Illahi.

In an emailed statement to KNS, Hizb spokesperson Saleem Hashmi while quoting Salahuddin who was addressing a joint executive and general council meeting of the outfit termed Illahi’s mother as a “pious woman and a freedom lover”.

He said that this lady had a great role in the upbringing Maqbool Illahi and was because of her teachings that Illahi became the Maqbool of the whole Kashmiri nation. “And their family scripted history in the ongoing freedom movement,” he said.


The UJC chief termed her death a personal loss to him but a great set back to the pro-freedom lovers in Kashmir. The condolence meet was also addressed by Deputy Hizb chief Saifullah Khalid and several other leaders. (KNS)
