In the present Kashmir unrest , the State government seems to be on a spree to slap the controversial Public Safety Act. This time the administration has slapped PSA on a minor youth of Aloosa Bandipora. The youth was arrested in bandipora ahead Kashmir unrest.

Sources said that “Asif Ahmad Ahmad son of mohammad Ramzan bhat, a resident of Aloosa bandipora was arrested on Monday by J&K police”.

Human rights activists have termed the PSA a ‘lawless law’ under which a person can be detained up to two years without trial.

Police sources said that there are many cases filed against Asif. They added that Asif is a stone pelter and “creates trouble” in the town.

However, locals and the family told Kashmir Scenario that Asif has become a prey for police. He is only 16.
