Road accidents a catastrophe, increasing at an alarming rate leaving hundreds of homes brazen and barren.
Road accidents have become very common nowadays. As more and more people are buying automobiles,leading high incidents of accidents day by day.
Furthermore, people have also become very careless while driving adding a good ratio to this concern.Not many people follow the traffic rules, especially in big cities in a race to overcome time and Speed,leaving themselves on the mercy of God.Roads are becoming narrower and the cities are getting congested.
Carelessness is one of the major causes of the road accidents all over the world.Using mobile phones while driving, breaking and violating the traffic rules,making entry and exits from the wrong sides,not wearing the proper seat belts add much to this tragedy.
Furthermore inexperienced and untrained drivers and those with poor eyesight who drive during nights are one of the major causes of escalating accident rate.
Drink and drive cases
Most of the people drive after being drunk leading to dangerous road accidents. The provision of highways is resulting inconvenience for the people.
However the main problem faced by any govt.of any country or nation is the more frequent road accidents which happen on the highways resulting a severe damage to the man power or infrastructure.
There could be most probably lesser amount of accidents if proper attention is paid and traffic rules are followed by the driver’s while driving.
Weather condition also add momentum to the rising accidental rate whether through fog,rain or slippery road conditions.
What is road accident:
It is a collision between vehicles or any other pedestrian,animal or any obstacle or the road divider in the middle of road.It results in heavy and huge losses,injuries,fatalities and deaths leaving overall damage to Biotic and abiotic.
Mechanical factors:
Can it be said yeah absolutely. Some equipmental failure inside the vehicle, such as failing of break,bursting of tyre,tread separations,problem in steering,handling or suspension can also add acceleration to the misery.
Roadway design accidents is also a common measure done through merging of lanes,speed breakers, pedestrian crossing,pathholes,shabbles,crests and troughs or zig zag structures.
Irregular surface of the roads also increase the accidental rate causing imbalance of the vehicle and hence collision or turtling.
Some other causes:
The first and the foremost cause is the driver’s behaviour,consisting of 95% of road accident incidents.
Driving by adolescents or underage:
Another major cause are the vehicles driven by underages without proper training and operation of a vehicle,ply vehicles on the roads leading to serious accidents.Adults under the age of 18 are riding bikes,scooties or other vehicles unknown and unfamiliar to the traffic rules and policies run vehicles at an unprecedent overspeeding rate lead to accidents.
Police a pivotal role player:
A main master which can avoid all such devastation.
Though always busy in anticipating and maintaining the decorum while doing their duties.Still this master needs to be more sympathetic,polite, co-operative and sometimes punitive also.This agency can fine the law breachers and the others who are violative and offensive.They can do and implement it via checking of proper documentation, licences,outdation of vehicles and through seizures of vehicles also.

A need of an hour:
Protective measures is to be taken on the part of administration and government.It can be done through imparting education realting to the safety adoption during driving to avoid the risk of accidents.
Many policies are being undertaken but still needs proper care and implementation is introduction of fine system,black points and radar installation.
Furthermore should be abstained and refrained from driving vehicles,while driving their vehicles should be seized and there should be a handful penelty,so that such catastrophe can be decreased.
Formation of different associations which could take part in making rules of road safety implemented in every part of the nation and help administration in minimising such happenings.
Monthly or timely awareness programmes should be held in every jurisdiction so to aware masses the hazardous of unnecessary travelling,over speeding,fines and penelties,drink and drive concerns and aware them of traffic rules.All parameters should be lighted whether be of life or the damage done the possession.
Also there should be a jurisdictional restrictions on speed of different types of vehicles.Installation of some technical equipment to put a regular check on speed.
Adequate measures should also be taken by driver’s like proper wearing of seat belts,time to time vehicle servicing, imparting education to the uneducated driver’s so to make them understand some common road signs and symbols to avoid such glooms.
Limitation of passengers is also a remedial measure.
Furthermore passengers should also be vigilant enough while crossing roads and be co operative with driver’s while travelling in their vehicles.
