Shopian, Feb 27(KNB): JK Police on Wednesday identified two militants killed in an encounter that broke out in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
Earlier, two militants were killed in an encounter that broke out between militants and government forces in Memender area of District Shopian after a cordon and search operation was launched by the police and forces in the area following credible inputs about the presence of militants.
Both the slain militants were affiliated with Jaish-e-Muhammad and were identified as Suhail Nazir Mir son of Nazir Ahmad Mir resident of Saidapora Payeen, Shopian and from the incrimination material recovered from the site of encounter, the other killed militant has been identified as a Pakistani nation.(KNB)
