Two braid chopping suspects caught at Bemina

Srinagar, October 4: Situation deteriorated in Bemina area of Srinagar today after two braid chopping suspects were nabbed by people, eyewitnesses and police told news agency GNS.




The witnesses told GNS that two persons whom people accused of being braid choppers were nabbed at Nundresh Colony Bemina today afternoon.
As per locals, they found arms and ammunition in their possessio. Witnesses said that people staged protests in favour of Islam and Azadi and also in favour of militants.
Meanwhile, police have arrived at the spot and are ascertaining facts while one of the suspects have been arrested, eyewitnesses said. A police official said that they have initiated the probe into the matter and searches for another suspect have been started.
The official said that they are also probing ammunition claim of people. Meanwhile massive clashes between people and police erupted in the area which were underway at the time of filing of this report.
