Police has confirmed that only two militant died in an encounter with forces in Shopian district.
According to the earlier reports had suggested the death of three militants.
According to media reports, DIG South Kashmir Nitish Kumar said two bodies were recovered from the encounter site.
He further said “the combing operation has been called off and that only two bodies were recovered from the encounter.
An official said that militants fired at a search party of police and Army at Manzimpora area near Imam Sahib area of the district, triggering an encounter in an orchard.
