‘Constitute committee to probe oppn’s role in fuelling unrest’
Srinagar, Jan 02: Senior Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader and Member of Legislative Council (MLC), Yasir Reshi Monday demanded that a committee should be constituted to probe the role of opposition in fuelling the violence in the state in 2016.As the opposition leaders staged protest in the state legislative assembly, shouting slogans like ‘Hisaab do hisaab do, Khoon ka hisaab do’, Reshi stood up and shouted, “Those compelled the youth to pelt stones on Army camps must be exposed.”
Calling the youth killed in the summer uprising 2016 as ‘martyrs’, Reshi said, “A political party who was backing the youth to pelt stones on Army camps must be exposed. In this regard, a committee should be constituted to investigate the role of opposition in fuelling the violence in the state.”
He said that it is because of them that several people were killed during the turmoil. (KNS)
