Srinagar, Oct 15: Inhabitants of Tengpora Batamaloo area here on Saturday accused forces of ‘highhandedness’.
They alleged that forces barged into the residential houses and beat inmates past night.
“Forces have spread terror in our locality. They barged into several houses, damaged household goods and thrashed inmates without any provocation,” alleged locals of Tengpora.
“The forces use unparliamentarily language against people. They broke window panes and other house hold items. This is sheer harassment. If the authorities don’t take action in the matter, we will be forced to take to streets,” they said.
“The forces barged into my residence and damaged television, fridge and other households. They thrashed all our family members including women,” said one of the locals, wished not to be named.
Locals alleged that forces damaged three PDD transformers in the locality. “Large local population is reeling under darkness after forces damaged them,” they added. (KNS)
