Suspicion as suicide bomber, Pune girl held in Kashmir

Srinagar, Jan 26 (KNB): Amid high-security alert in the length and breadth of Kashmir, the police on Friday claimed to have arrested an 18-yrs-old nonlocal lady who according to security agencies could be a suicide bomber.
Additional Director General of Police and IGP Kashmir Range Muneer Khan while confirming the arrest of the woman suspect suicide bomber said: “In fact if you remember two days back, where it has been reported that one lady has come to valley who could be a suicide bomber. I tell you that time yes we will be verifying the input”.
The lady has been identified as Sadiya Sheikh from Pune and a case has been registered and further investigation is going on.
Earlier, Inspector General of Police (Kashmir) circulated a message from his office of to all district police heads and chief of security wing in Kashmir, “there is a strong input” that an 18-year-old woman non-Kashmiri woman might “cause a suicide bomb explosion” near or inside the Republic Day parade in Kashmir.
