Stars of Jammu concludes with a grand finale

JAMMU: The Stars of Jammu event which was organized by U4U Voice concluded today after 27 participants showcased their talent in front of a large crowd which also included prominent dignitaries of the state. The Stars of Jammu was an event conceived to give a platform to talented performers of Jammu, and the event has been successful in achieving its goals. Hundreds of school going kids participated in the event during the auditions which were held in the top schools of Jammu.
The major highlight of the event was the first public performance by the finalists which was organized at Mubarak Mandi complex in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Tourism during the Jammu Festival. In the finale today 27 hunarbaaz kids participated, and five of them got the top awards. One of the participants was given the Peoples’ Choice Award as she got the maximum likes on the official U4U Voice facebook page.

During the grand finale today, Minister for Housing, Horticulture & Culture. Raman Bhalla was the chief guest who appreciated the concept of Stars of Jammu, and said that Jammu had great talent, and the need was to nurture it in a proper manner. The special guests for the event also included Soujanya Sharma (Director Tourism), Rajesh Kumar (IG Jammu), Kiran Watal (JMC Commissioner Jammu), Shantmanu (Divisional Commissionor Jammu). The judges of the event were Sh Suraj Singh and Sh Randhir. The event was sponsored by Dhruv Institute, and Hari Travels. Earlier, the event started with an opening address by Arun Gupta, CMD U4U Voice Group in which he dwelt on how this concept was conceived, and executed successfully with the help of civil society, and schools in Jammu. He also thanked the participants for making the Stars of Jammu a democratic and fair event in which people also participated actively.

Stars of Jammu event was organized by U4U Voice online portal, which aims to provide a platform to the people of the state in expressing their views, share their concerns, and raise local issues. It also aims to boost the local culture, tradition, and talent in Jammu and Kashmir.
