Srinagar 05 April (KNB): The authorities of SMC today siezed the poultry farm at Kamerabad in Srinagar who was operating in a residential area without following waste management protocol.
SMC commisioner Gazanfar Ali took cognizance of the KNB report and directed superdari of the concerned ward officer to monitor it personally.
Pertinently, Kashmir News Bureau(KNB) reported a news yesterday titled Amid outbreak of Covid-19,Srinagar’s Qamarabad residents ‘traumatised’ by odour and Unhygenic Poultry farm, following such an impact that Comissioner siezed the said poultry farm in Qamarabad today, an SMC official said.
The residents of Qamarabad had complained that poultry farm situated in their area near the new General Bus Stand had no proper waste disposal with unhygienic conditions.
Following the above complaint, Kashmir News Bureau carried a story after which SMC commisioner directed ward officer to seize the entire poultry farm and strictly directed the concerned office of the area to keep an eye personally. (KNB)
