Srinagar,November 30(KNB): Education is important for the personal, social and economic development of the nation as it is the only possession that cannot be taken away from you. Terming it as power of humanity, a person can differentiate between right and wrong or good and evil.
Education plays a major role in the growth and progress of a society as it develops the capabilities to fight the injustice,voilence,corruption and other factors. If citizens of a society are educated, they can provide significant contributions in the field of arts, literature, science, technology, and others, and help establish a well-rounded and stimulating community.
As far as parents are concerned, they play a vital role in providing their children with a great development foundation physically,socially,emotionally and mentally.A child’s learning and socialization are most influenced by their family since the family is the primary social group for their children. One of the most benifit of educating children is that it develops improvement and helps to run the society smoothly.
Education, the fundamental right of every citizen is not only gaining knowledge,it is a process of continuous learning which can be acquired anywhere at any time and any age as it promotes empowerment and ensures development benefits. It can be used for the upliftment of society since it helps elevate the social and economic conditions in the marginalized sections of society.
Education is regarded as a tool to enhance progress and make the world a better place by teaching us how to conduct ourselves through life by following rules and regulations and giving us a sense of conscience. It make us more confident to go out there and achieve things.
In a conflict area like Kashmir, students suffer the most. The irregular system, as well as constant conflict, has pushed many students into depression or other mental health issues, closures and violence has led to student uprisings and protests, due to which Kashmiri students are laging behind in every field.
A growing number of young people here are suffering from emotional despair, low self-esteem, a lack of cultural connectivity and a loss of values. One answer to the turmoil may lie in the education system, where current teaching methods can be supplemented with peace driven initiatives by educating our children and youth about values, respecting their parents and teachers. There is a desire for intervention in addressing the psychological trauma and the loss of values in society.(KNB)
