School Education Employees coordination committee held a meeting to oppose the proposal of reshuffle education Minister Jenab Altaf Bhukhari Sahab to other Deptt as is published by some print media in news.
Pertinently, all leaders of different organizations under the chairmanship of Amar Nath Thakur State Chairman SEECC(A) has requested Hon’ble Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti not to change the education Minister Altaf Bhukhari Sahab as under his dynamic leadership education deptt has seen a sea change.
As a matter of fact, after assuming the charge lot of welfare steps have been taken by the Education Minister for the betterment of Education sector and particularly the Teaching fraternity, SSA Salary has been streamlined, which was a headache for the deptt. all controversies have been amicably resolved, new subjects in higher and school education Deptt. have been started , all vacant posts have been filled by appointing thousands of college and +2 Lecturers through PSC, committee for regularizing 7000 all Incharge cadres has been constituted who have not been regularized for last ten years including Joint Directors, CEO’s, Principals, ZEO’s, Lecturers and Head Masters . Thousand of RET Teachers have been regularized the case of whom were pending since long. All good welfare initiatives started by Ex- Education Minister Jenab Naeem Shahib have been carried forward. All leaders unanimously decided that they would come on roads and protest if their demand is ignored. Education Deptt. Is the Key sector having direct impact on society and with a large human resource and changing this important portfolio within a short period of time would be counterproductive for the Govt. and Education Sector.
Speaking on the occasion S. Surjeet Singh State President Headmaster forum, S. Parveen Singh, State Gen. Sec. JKGTF, Shiv Dev Singh State Sec. AJKLTF, and others said that education Deptt. Should provide contingency grant to all schools as after weaving off the fee of girls in schools head of the Institutions cannot renovate and meet out other expenditure of the schools. More over a fixed percentage like building funds, games fund and Red Cross are deposited in the other deptt. Accounts and only meager amount is left in the local funds to be utilized in the schools .They also appealed School Education Deptt. Higher authorities to reduce examination fee of all elementary classes and no evaluation charges should be given to the school teachers at the cost of poor students and their parents.
Addressing the Teachers Amar Nath Thakur appealed the chief Minister to give due consideration and honour the sentiments of teaching community and do not shift Sayeed Altaf Bhukhari Education Minister to any other ministry as appeared in print and social media . He further appealed Chief Minister to regularize all 7000 Incharge cadres of School Education Deptt through cabinet decision.
