Re-poll in 38 polling stations in Srinagar parliamentary constituency on Thursday: CEO

‘Counting for Srinagar on 15th April as scheduled’




Srinagar, Apr 11 : Re-poll in 38 polling stations in Srinagar Lok Sabha Constituency hit by violence on last Sunday the day of polling would be now held day after tomorrow, i.e 13th of April and counting for Srinagar parliamentary constituency would be taken up on 15th April as scheduled for announcement of results hopefully the same day evening.Talking to KNS over phone Chief Electoral officer Shantmanu said “the decision on re-poll in 38 polling stations where polling was hit by violence has come from the elction commission of India and re-poll at these polling stations would be now held on 13th April Thursday this week. The counting for Srinagar parliamentary constituency would be taken up on 15th April and hopefully results would be declared the same day.

The Model Code of Conduct will come to an end on 15th and would remain in force in Districts falling in Anantnag Lok Sabha Constituency where polling would be held on 25th of May this year”. (KNS)
