Poets from different countries participate in online international Urdu Mushaira

Jammu 12 October (KNB): An international Urdu Mushaira was organised by Govt Degree College Jindrah, in which 10 poets from different countries of the world participated.

The chief pattern of the Mushaira was Comissioner Secretary to higher education J&K, Talat Parvez Rohilla and the patron of the programme was Professor (Dr.) Raj Shree Dhar, principal GDC Jindrah.

Convener of the programme was Dr Ashaq Choudhary, Assistant Professor Urdu at GDC Jindrah.

The Mushaira was presided over by Fahim Akhtar from England and Dr Walla Jamal was the guest of honour.

Principal GDC Jindrah presented the welcome address and Rajiv Katoch, Assistant Professor GDC Jindrah, presented the vote of thanks.

Dr Ashaq Choudhary conducted the programme which culminated with appreciation from the poets who participated in the Mushaira.

The participating poets in the Mushaira were Fahim Akhter (England), Dr Wala Jamal El Essily Sahibha (Egypt), Salaam Hamed (Bangladesh), Imtaz Gorakh Puri (Mumbai), Dr Rashid Azeez (Kashmir), Pritama Sinha (Banaras), Prof. Irfan Arif (Jammu), Dr Raza Ahmed Raza (Poonch), Khursheed Kirmani (Poonch) and Mohtashim Ehteshaam (Poonch).

The organizers said that more than hundred audiences witnessed the programme live.
