Peer Ki Gali is situated in the middle of Mughal road. Located at the distance of only 43 Kms from Shopian District head quarter and 44 Kms from Bafliaz, in district Poonch, on Mughal road is located the picturesque Pir Ki Gali. A visit to this place reveals that this place has enormous potential to develop into a mega tourist destination. Even the huge area compromising of thousands of Kanals is not beautified and the area direly requires other basic infrastructural facilities.
A Tourist stated -“Peer ki gali is a wonderful tourist spot and has a gorgeous scenic beauty.But this great tourism spot needs to be upgraded in a big maaner so that it can attract large number of tourists in a smooth manner.”
Nearby there is the small unassuming massuolem of the Pir Baba of Panjal, and a small mosque. Both in stone. These are the relics of the past and need to be preserved and honoured as such
Considering the fact, that Peer ki Gali is not only the tourist destination, but a central meeting point for the people of South Kashmir area from Kashmir side and Poonch and Rajouri districts. The locals belonging to South Kashmir area and Poonch Rajouri districts organize joint picnics nowadays at this central tourist spot.
Pertinently, picturesque medieval Mughal Sarai is also located here so the spot deserves utmost attention.
