PDP General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir has said that PDP has envisioned to uplift the persons with disabilities and provide them due representation in state institutions.
According to statement issued to The Kashmir Scenario Mir after meeting a delegation of J&K handicapped association led by its president Abdul Rashid Bhat,said that “PDP will mitigate sufferings of handicapped people and various schemes and initiatives were in pipeline for their welfare”.
Mir assured the association that PDP will represent the sentiments and the problems faced by handicapped persons in day to day governance issues and will chalk out a viable solution to end their sufferings.The chief minister wants to empower and provide social justice to this section of the society and the PDP led coalition will secure their interest ,he added.Subsequently on the assurance of the General Secretary,the association called off the strike which was to protest against the government.
