‘Pledges full space to workers with sincerity and commitment’
Srinagar, June 30: : Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) is completing the constitution of party units at gross root level within two weeks across the state. In the maiden meeting of newly nominated incharges for districts of Kashmir province it was decided that party will approach for best among the cadre to head the basic units. This to keep up the tradition of entrusting organizational responsibilities to potentially committed and sincere workers devoted to public service.
The nominees for various districts formally took over the party assignment today as an interim measure to pave way for party elections for the basic units including the zones.
They pledged total commitment to party and its avowed agenda and reiterated their resolve to enhance the party;s image and prestige among the people of the state and beyond through self service and dedication. The presidents said that gross root exercise for formation of the party units is seen by them as an opportunity to reach to every individual and seek his / her support to strengthen further the party’s agenda of making Jammu & Kashmir a model state.
The state level office bearers including Nizamudin Bhat, Rafi Ahmad Mir and Peerzada Mansoor Hussain took the meeting of the nominated district heads and the two coordinators for south and north Kashmir Mufti Sajjad and Raja Aijaz Ali respectively.
The participants discussed thread bear the course to be adopted to further peoples cause through party’s base and strength. It was felt that awareness on party’s programmes in the aftermath of government formation has become necessary and party will do its best for the same. Expressing faith in the visionary leadership of Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and president Mehbooba Mufti the office bearers said that coordination between the party cadre and the government has to be ensured and hoped that party will work as a bridge between the people and its ministers in the government.
The party spokesman said that constitution of basic units has become a necessity after these were dissolved early this year paving way for party elections at the gross root level and consolidation and further expansion of party’s base.
The constitution of these units in the initial stage will how over be an interim arrangement to meet the final objective of formation of gross root units through appropriate electoral process.
The meeting decided that party will distribute zones into blocks to have block committees in place creating space for the cadre for a participatory role and individual empowerment. The amendment to the constitution is being envisaged in near future. It is the party’s desire to make the constitution more elaborate and accommodative so that party workers get enhanced opportunities to use their potential and ability for efficient working of the party.
