BJP MLAs says ‘attack Pak army pickets’

Srinagar, June 27 : Ruling BJP legislators Monday while condemning the attack on CRPF convoy in Pampore said that army should pickets of Pakistan army on the Indo-Pak border to “teach them a lesson”.




As soon as proceeding in Legislative Assembly began today, BJP legislators stood of benches and shouted anti-Pakistan slogans.

BJP MLA Ravindar Raina asked the government to attack “posts of Pakistan army on the border. “Our security men are being continuously targeted. Attack the pickets of the Pakistan army so that they would stop targeting our security forces,” Raina said.

State BJP President Sat Paul Sharma said that the Pampore attack should be thoroughly investigated.

“Militant backed by Pakistan have intensified their attacks on security forces in the state. There should be a thorough investigation into the killing of CRPF men at Pampore,” Sharma said.

However, Independent MLA from Langate Er Rashid confronted the BJP MLAs. “What are you demanding? It is you own government. Investigate yourself, why are you saying it here.”




Er Rashid accused that rise in militancy was because of the “RSS government” in the state.

“Why don’t you condemn those forces personnel who killed civilians of Handwara,” Rashid asked BJP Lawmakers.

Eight CRPF men were killed and 22 injured by militants in an ambush on a convoy bus at Pampore on Saturday. Two militants who attacked CRPF men were also killed.

As the PDP MLAs remained silent, the Opposition NC asked them to stop the BJP. “Stop your alliance partner,” the NC legislators asked the PDP.
