All Parties Hurriyat Conference (M) senior leader Prof Abdul Gani Bhat Saturday visited Fairview residence of late Mufti Sayeed to offer condolences.
According to reports, ” Prof Bhat made an emotional speech about late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed”.
“He praised late Mufti Sayeed like anything,” one of the participants said.
“We studied together in Aligarh Muslim university in two different subjects,” he said, “I studied Persian and late Mufti sahab Arabic.”
Praising his wit, endurance, and camaraderie, Bhat said, “I always fought with Mufti sahab because we had two different ideologies but our hearts beat for Kashmir.”
