Nalwala Foundation Strengthens Development Agenda in Kashmir: Productive Meetings with Dr. Farooq Abdullah and CM Omar Abdullah

Srinagar,15 June(KNB): In a significant step toward accelerating grassroots development in Jammu & Kashmir, Mr. Hussain Sahib, Head of the Nalwala Foundation, recently held high-level discussions with two of the region’s most prominent leaders Dr. Farooq Abdullah, former Member of Parliament, and the Honourable Chief Minister, Jenab Omar Abdullah.

During his meeting with Dr. Abdullah in Srinagar, Mr. Hussain presented the Foundation’s strategic plan to install tubewells in remote villages of Baramulla, Bandipora, and Kupwara districts, where communities face an acute shortage of clean drinking water. Dr. Abdullah expressed strong support for the initiative and assured facilitation of government land allocation to enable timely implementation.In the afternoon, Mr. Hussain met with Chief Minister Janab Omar Abdullah, who attentively reviewed the Foundation’s humanitarian interventions including food kit distribution, handcart support for livelihood enhancement, housing assistance, and provision of traditional pherans, blankets to vulnerable families during harsh winters. The Chief Minister welcomed the Foundation’s continued engagement in the region and offered full cooperation to expand its outreach.

The Nalwala Foundation’s mission remains clear: to uplift underserved humanity through focused interventions in health, education, livelihood, and disaster response. These high-level meetings mark a pivotal moment, ensuring government collaboration in delivering sustainable water solutions and essential welfare services.

“This is not just about infrastructure it’s about dignity, survival, and hope for the people of Kashmir,” said Mr. Hussain. “The overwhelming support from both leaders reaffirms our vision and strengthens our resolve.
