Appeals separatists to unite to counter ‘anti-movement’ moves
Srinagar, Apr 24: The UJC supremo and Hizb-ul-Mujahideen chief Syed Sallah-ud-din Friday alleged that Narendra Modi government in New Delhi was carrying its ‘sinister’ agendas in Kashmir through chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and the state government is proving itself to be ‘worse’ than the previous regime’
In an emailed statement, UJC spokesman Syed Sadaqat Hussain quoting Sallah-ud-din said: “The Modi government has initiated the process Gujarat style ethnic cleansing of Muslims in Kashmir, setting the fugitive pandits in Israel style of settlements and according citizenship to west Pak refugees. Such measures are being implemented on ground in Kashmir with the help of the Mufti government.”
The statement reads that while addressing a special meeting of the UJC, Sallah-ud-din said, “Under the state government jailed Masarat Alam Bhat as it succumbed to the pressure of New Delhi. Those who think, pro-freedom voices will be heard are indeed living in fools’ paradise.”
He also appealed to the pro-freedom camp to foil the present serious situation with unity. “Even while being in their own respective forums, they still can raise voice with unanimity. When Mirwaiz Umar, Yasin Malik and Syed Ali Geelani addressed jointly at Narbal, it created euphoria within the freedom loving people of Kashmir,” he said.
Sallah-ud-din also condemned the arrest of Masarat Alam and his shifting outside valley. He said such actions by the state are not new to Alam as he has faced similar situation in the past as well.
