‘PDP committed to fulfill Mufti Sahab’s vision’
Shopian, Mar 30 : PDP legislator from Wachi Assembly segment in Shopian district, Advocate Aijaz Mir, today visited his constituency and assured the people that PDP under the leadership of Mehbooba Mufti is committed to fulfill the agenda of peace development that the party patron Mufti sahab has promised to people.
While addressing a large gathering of people in Melhoora village and other areas, Mir said that PDP president, Mehbooba Mufti, who will take oath as the next chief minister of the state within a week, will fulfill all the development demands and grievances of the people. Mir told the gathering that Mehbooba has herself represented the constituency and she was well aware how to develop the constituency into a model in south Kashmir.
He said that the families who have been dropped out of the NFSA will be considered very soon so that their grievances are redressed. He announced that Melhoora village will be developed under SAGY scheme as it has been recommended by Mehbooba Mufti to the centre government.
The legislator visited the health centre in Melhoora and allotted an ambulance van for it. He also distributed horticulture kits among the villagers. The legislator took stock of other ongoing development projects in the segment and allotted a number of on spot works in Melhoora area and assured the people that the works will be taken up within a month. He directed the officials concerned to complete all the works that have been taken up in the last ten months.
Mir said that the development work taken up in the last ten months will be carried forward. The MLA was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Shopian and other heads of the departments concerned during the visit. (KNS)
