Jammu, Mar 2 : PDP leader and MLA Wachi, Advocate Aijaz Mir today called on Governor N N Vohra at Raj Bhavan and submitted a memorandum of demands to him.
Mir demanded the widening of Bijbehara-Shopian road under CRF to 60 feet as he said that this road will serve as bypass to Mughal Road and will be viable during Amarnath yatra
The legislator said that the spray oil and fertilizers shall be made available in market at reasonable rates with a proper mechanism for their quality control “Restoration of all the irrigation canals on priority basis especially the damaged canals due to last year flood. Enhancement of spray motor/weeder quota under horticulture sector in Shopian district,” the MLA said. He said that Orthopedic, ENT, Anesthesia doctors should be deployed for SDH Zainapora and distt hospital Shopian.
He also demanded introduction of new subjects including Computer Science, Physical Education, History, Geography and Islamic Studies at higher secondary schools of Zainpora, Harmain, Kaprin, Turkwangam from the current session.
The Governor listened to all the demands of the MLA and said that they will be addressed to alleviate the problems of the people. (KNS)
