Asks govt to speed up investigation, trace out culprits
Srinagar: PDP leader and MLA Wachi Advocate Aijaz Ahmed Mir Sunday condemned the increasing incidents of braid chopping especially in south Kashmir and asked the government to speed up the investigation to find out the hidden hand behind it.
He said three incidents of braid chopping have also occurred in his Wachi constituency that has created fear among the people.
Mir also appealed the people and party worker in particular to maintain tight vigil against such people involved in such crime.
He said it is the moral responsibility that society is saved from unpleasant impositions of all kinds and discourage such actions which snatch the assets human behaviour from a civilized society.
Aijaz Mir said the state has badly suffered over the years and this new trend of braid chopping can only further push people towards the era of fear. He said Kashmir is a place famous for its hospitality and rich culture and such indecent incidents don’t behoove in a place like Kashmir.
“Let us get our act together to see that society is not fragmented and our social and cultural values do not get undermined,” he added.
