Srinagar, June 01 (KNB): One militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter that rages between militants and government forces in Saimoh in Tral belt of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.
As per the reports, a cordon and search operation was launched by joint team of Awantipora Police, Army’s 42 RR and CRPF in Saimoh following some credible inputs, as the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering an encounter.
A militant was killed in encounter, however sources revealed two to three militants are believed to be trapped.
The encounter was still going on as per the last reports.(KNB)
